Optimism opens a door in difficult or hopeless situations.
No matter what the crisis, an optimist maintains the outlook that it is a sign - perhaps time for a different way of thinking or a different way of doing things.
Sometimes this sign has to be very clear - even harsh - otherwise we may continue in self-delusion and leave our true potential unfulfilled.
Take this sign as a step towards change, otherwise complaint, resentment, bitterness, cynicism or even desperation may emerge.
Optimism is power. It's a way of life that restores faith in yourself, your ability and your future. Optimism can help you overcome self-sabotage.
Optimism isn't about pretending that everything is fine when it isn't. It's about accepting a situation, making the best of it and striving towards improving it, because you know that positive change and transformation is possible and within your reach.
"Hope is definitely not the same thing as optimism. It is not the conviction that something will turn out well, but the certainty that something makes sense, regardless of how it turns out."

And even if things don't turn out the way you wanted them to, as an optimist you will have had a better time trying than gloomily awaiting your fate.
Make this year a year of optimism and see how it improves your life.
Wishing you a happy, healthy and abundant New Year!

What a fabulous take on the Star card, and so true - beautiful image and quote, once again, Christiane. Really looking forward to this deck :)
ReplyDeleteMe too, Chloe. If I could just get the printing size right, so the images are not cut round the edges due to the "bleed" ;(
DeleteI hear you, Christiane! I had to resize some of my Kindergarten Lenormand images 4 times before I got it right *doh* Good luck :)
